Battery anti-explosion system development and patent: (China Patent No.: 200910036407.9)

When Ni-MH battery is fully charged, the hydrogen-stored alloy metal powder in negative electrode is filled with Hydrogen. If internal or external short-circuit happens, battery may largely release heat and then cause internal gas expansion, if gas release equipment is unworkable for timely releasing gas, explosion may happen.  Generally, batteries are shipped by sea with around 30 ~ 40 days delivery time and charged battery’s explosion risk is higher because of high temperature on the sea.
 
BetterPower developed an anti-explosion rubber ball in 2006, it can quickly and automatically melt under 80~120 Celsius degree high temperature when external or internal short-circuit happens, then battery cap quickly release gas to prevent
explosion.( Normal cap releases gas slowly when internal short-circuit happens because of the rubber ball materials problem, hence it has potential explosion risks. )
 
It is proved that BetterPower’s battery never exploded since 2006.
